Learn the significance of ancient Aboriginal rock art, about the area’s flora and fauna, and culture of its traditional owners, the Anangu. Your day concludes with a spectacular sunset at Uluru.

What to Expect

Visit Uluṟu - Kata Tjuṯa Cultural Centre - Where there is time to purchase some locally made Aboriginal art and learn more about the Western Desert region.

Travel around the base of Uluru with a local Driver Guide - Learn about the native flora, fauna and intriguing cultural traditions of traditional owners, the Anangu, and discover an array of fascinating sacred sites. Join your Driver Guide for a walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole. You'll explore a number of caves and view Aboriginal rock paintings as your Guide interprets their meaning and significance.

Travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area, 'Sunset Strip' - Relax with a glass of wine and Nibbles as the sun sets over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of colour for which Uluru is renowned.

After sunset, continue to our exclusive venue for an exclusive Barbecue Dinner, with Uluru as your stunning backdrop. Relax in the company of friends and fellow travellers and enjoy a variety of Australian meats and salads, accompanied by a glass of wine, beer or orange juice (menus are subject to change). After dinner, tea, coffee and dessert will be served. There’s time for stargazing too

Please Note: If you are arriving via a Red Centre Connection or Flight, you may not have time to check into your hotel room before your afternoon tour departure time. Please have a Day Pack ready to go which includes the following items - Appropriate walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, warm jacket during the cooler months & a minimum of 1 litre of water.

Non refundable if cancelled within 48 hours of departure date.

Cancellation due to Force Majeure Events

If AAT Kings cancels a holiday as a result of a Force Majeure Event, a future travel credit (FTC) to the value of funds paid to date less any third-party costs incurred will be provided. All FTCs will be valid for 24 months from date of issue.

Where a holiday is terminated mid-holiday due to a Force Majeure event, if we provide you with any alternative services or assistance (such as hotels or travel) then you agree to pay for these costs. In return, AAT Kings and Inspiring Journeys will provide a pro-rated FTC for the unused portion of your trip.

 

Cancellation due to Events other than Force Majeure Events

If the cancellation by AAT Kings is not as a result of a Force Majeure Event, AAT Kings will provide an alternative comparable holiday (if available), if an alternative is not available then a refund will be made. AAT Kings is not liable for any cancellation or change cost or penalties incurred on other travel arrangements, including air travel, that may be affected thereby.

AAT Kings is not responsible for other travel arrangements that you or your party have made outside AAT Kings and which are affected by our cancellations.
