Combining our 3 nights and 4-night tours of the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands, our 7-night tour will give you access to all of the most breathtaking scenery and cultural experiences that this beautiful region has to offer.

The Mamanuca group is comprised of 20 stunning palm-fringed islands with beautiful white sand beaches, stunning coral gardens and some of Fiji’s most famous resorts, while the rugged Yasawa group is composed of 16 islands stretching for some 90 kilometres, making it the place to experience the pristine, untouched natural beauty of Fiji.

Highlights of our 7 night Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands cruise includes idyllic Monuriki Island where the Tom Hanks movie ‘Cast Away’ was filmed and the Sacred Islands where the first Fijians are said to have landed their canoes. You’ll also visit our own private island of Tivua, where you can snorkel through pristine coral gardens right off the beach, Sawa-i-lau with its famous limestone caves and blue lagoon and Naviti Island, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Fijian feast, lovo and cultural ceremony. As a special extra cruise inclusion, guests will also be offered the choice of a complimentary tour to the Sabeto Mud Baths or the Orchid Garden of the Sleeping Giant.

Itinerary

 Captain Cook Discovery cruises are designed to offer you an authentic and personal experience of Fiji. 

The Yasawa Islands are situated off the northwest coast of the main island, Viti Levu, and being volcanic in origin, they offer some of the most dramatic scenery in the south Pacific. With a new island and coral reef to visit every morning and afternoon, these cruises have a great emphasis on beach and water activities. 

Depart: Tuesday 1.00pm & Saturday 12.00noon. Return: 9am 

Tuesday – DENARAU MARINA – TIVUA ISLAND

Ni sa Bula’ is the magical call of welcome as you board Reef Endeavour for your island adventure. Cruise to Tivua Island over a light lunch and safety briefing, then explore the coral gardens, clam rearing cages or a scenic walk through the island before enjoying a South Pacific sunset on your first night at sea. Tonight join the Captain and his crew for the GalaCaptain’s Dinner and Crew Introduction. 

Wednesday – TIVUA – BROTHERS ISLAND – NAVITI ISLAND

Start the day naturally with a morning swim & snorkel in an idyllic bay at Brothers Island. Savour the bounty of a gourmet buffet lunch as you journey to spectacular Naviti Island. Here is beauty in its original state where you can bask in aquamarine waters along white sandy beaches. Snorkel, swim, kayak, stand up paddleboard or just explore the island. This evening join the festivities and entertainment of a Fijian Village at Gunu for a traditional Fijian Feast (Lovo) and Cultural performance (Meke). 

Thursday – YASAWA ISLAND – SAWA-I-LAU

Discover the legendary grandeur of Sawa-i-lau and the famous limestone caves at your own pace. Swimming in the cave lagoon is a wondrous experience. Visit a local school for a memorable experience you will never forget. Snorkel over spectacular coral gardens, swim in fabled lagoons or test your fitness with a climb to the peak of Mt Tamasua on YasawaIsland. This evening try your luck at crab racing tonight. 

Friday – SAWA-I-LAWU – YAQETA – DRAWAQA 

Cruise the soaring volcanic peaks of the Yasawas and discover a myriad of fish in the coral reef and laze in the warm sands of Yaqeta. During lunch cruise the spectacular channels toDrawaqa for amazing snorkelling this afternoon, you may even see a Manta-ray (seasonal). This evening get your dancing shoes on for the Famous Captain Cook Cruises Music Quiz. 

SATURDAY –NUKU-I-MANA

Sail through the beautiful Mamanuca islands past many famous resorts collecting some additional passengers, before arriving for a snorkel from a sand cay and discovering the vista of a South Pacific sunset. Tonight join the Captain and his crew for the Welcome Dinner and Crew Introduction 

SUNDAY – MONURIKI – MONU BAY

Reef Endeavour cruises to idyllic Monoriki where Tom Hanks’ Castaway was filmed. Explore this natural film set and explore idyllic Monu Island, before a special village choral service. The beautiful harmonies of the village choir will simply delight you. This evening join the entertainment of our Fijian Fashion Show and Crew choir. 

MONDAY – SACRED ISLANDS – WAYA ISLANDS

The Sacred Island is a place beautiful beyond belief. Legends tell of the great war canoe `Rogoboka’ which landed here with the first Fijians. On arrival, the ship’s crew pay tribute to the forefathers of Fijian culture and perform the Sevusevu (gift giving) ceremony. Spend a magical morning swimming in the aquamarine lagoons, snorkelling in spectacular coral gardens, beachcombing or coral viewing from the glass bottom boat. Over lunch cruise to the Southern Yasawa islands. Enclosed by towering volcanic peaks and palm-fringed beaches, WayaIsland is a tropical paradise. Visit a local school this afternoon and a village and shell market. The fit will also have a chance to climb to the peak of Waya for amazing views. Don your favourite island attire for Pacific Island night tonight! 

TUESDAY – WAYA ISLANDS – DENARAU MARINA

After Breakfast, Reef Endeavour sets sail and returns to Denarau Marina at 07:30 am for a 9:00 am disembarkation. 

 

Ship

MV Reef Endeavour is a small cruise ship catering for 130 passengers over 4 accommodation levels. Her small size allows her to negotiate remote islands, reefs and shallow bays where bigger ships are unable to go, showcasing the real Fiji and giving our passengers a true cultural experience.

Originally designed to cater for 168 passengers however with subsequent refurbishment, including the creation of suites and family rooms, the number of passengers on board at any one time is now significantly reduced allowing for even more public area and deck space to be enjoyed.

MV Reef Endeavour offers passengers 4 levels of accommodation with 63 suites, Ocean Staterooms and Porthole cabins. Each cabin is approximately 14 sq metres and features:

  • 240V power
  • Pure Fiji Shampoo, soaps and towels
  • Serviced daily.

Our luxurious  Tabua Suites are 28 sq metres and feature all of the above and additionally:

Porthole Cabins

Located on the lower deck (D), cabins open to an inside passageway and have portholes. Configuration: twin/double/bunk triple/bunk quad.

 

Ocean Staterooms

Located on the upper and main decks (B & C), each room opens to the outside walkway and have picture windows. Configuration: twin/double beds.

Connecting Family Staterooms

Located on the upper and main decks, we offer 6 staterooms which can be connected an adjoining door for family accommodation. These Staterooms open onto the outside deck and have picture windows.

 

Tabua Suites

Comprising of a bedroom with separate lounge, chair, desk, LCD screen TV & DVD player, refrigerator, tea & coffee facilities and second bathroom. Located on the Upper Deck (A). Configuration: twin/double beds.
